After Health Net, a larger insurance company, acquired several smaller companies, they determined that the new employees lacked an understanding of the company’s history, as well as how all the parts of the business fit together.

The solution was to develop an internal publication (rather than a newsletter) for the employees. The bi-monthly publication features articles on the company’s history, corporate culture and business areas.

Follow-up research showed a loyal readership and improvement in cross-location communications.
